Our guest speaker, Brian Ropitini has 35 years of experience in the petrochemical sector. Starting his career as an apprentice fitter and turner, he rose through various organizational levels, ultimately serving in senior management and executive leadership roles at multiple upper-tier major hazard facilities in New Zealand and Canada.
Retiring from full-time work at the end of 2019, Brian now holds several governance roles. He is a Director at Ara Ake, an Advisory Board member for the Wells Group, and the Chair of the Taranaki Health Foundation Trust.
In addition to these roles, he offers bespoke consulting services and leads public workshops focused on leadership in health and safety, asset management, planning and large project management. He is also a frequent speaker at maintenance and reliability conferences across New Zealand and Australia."
Brian will share some insights gained from his experiences as he progressed through various leadership roles over his career.
