About this Event
Come along to celebrate the HDR Design Sprint Showcase. QUT's HDR Design Sprint teams will be presenting the outcomes of their recent Innovation Sprint responding to the UN's Sustainable Development goals of People, Planet, Partnership and Prosperity.
Sprint Overview
The HDR Design Sprint is a week long intensive where higher degree research [HDR] students lead sprint teams grouped around the SDGs. Using a design-led, qualitative research approach, the sprint team uncovers and explores the trends, technologies and challenges of the SDGs related to your industry [ecosystem]. Here teams then explore and refine new opportunities, concepts and business models that align with SDGs and deliver value to the ecosystem. As these concepts push the boundaries of what’s possible, the deliverable for each sprint team will be to develop research questions, hypotheses and provocations that need to be answered for these opportunities to be realised.
About the SDG Challenge
This design sprint program seeks to unpack the digital growth opportunities of the sustainable development goals. We seek to shift the SDG narrative from ‘corporate social responsibility to ‘corporate social opportunity. Opportunity: doing good and doing well.
At the same time, this program is developing a pipeline of research-capable talent with the digital capabilities and social literacy required for successful, resilient and responsible future enterprises.
