2 hour celebration event showcasing what we have achieved with the Highland Community Waste Partnership. Demos and displays to see!ABOUT THE EVENT
Join us at Lairg Community Centre, 2.30-4.30pm, for a fun and inspiring day as we wrap up the incredible journey of the Highland Community Waste Partnership (HCWP) over the past three years!
As one of eight dedicated partners, we’re excited to celebrate our collective achievements and share the amazing work we’ve done together.
Ever wondered how to breathe new life into your wardrobe? Check out our textiles station where you can learn about sashiko stitching, clothing repairs, and how to creatively use sewing scraps.
Have a passion for gardening? Don’t miss our Q&A session with local gardening expert Emma Armstrong, who’ll be sharing tips on gardening in the Highlands. Bring your questions and get ready to dig into some great advice! There will also be a small demo area on how to manage brown and green waste to create great compost.
Plus, we’ll have a swish and second-hand item rail where you can swap items or find a hidden gem to take home. And if you love unique creations, be sure to check out our display of upcycled items – you might just get inspired to start your own project!
This event is not just about showcasing what we’ve achieved; it’s also about connecting with our community, sharing knowledge, and having a great time together. Whether you’re a waste warrior or just curious about sustainable practices, there’s something for everyone. Come celebrate with us and let’s make a positive impact together!
