Historic Vehicle Rally from Olympic Park to Kulnura$15 entry fee for people attending.
Eftpos Available.
The event will commence along Olympic Blvd, Olympic Park at the Aquatic Centre, we'd like all buses to arrive here by 9:45am. We will depart in a convoy style formation at 10:00am. Drivers on the morning will be issued with general instructions, a shift journal and a set of maps per driver, as well as a digital radio channel for communications (for those who bring a handheld radio or whoever's bus has a functional two way fitted), as well as my phone number in case any issues or queries arise during the trip.
The convoy will proceed up Pennant Hills Road, via Epping (due to heavy vehicle camera on Pennant Hills Rd), and then onto the freeway for a short section, before joining back up with the Old Pacific Highway at Mount Kuring-Gai, continuing north through the scenic areas of Cowan and Brooklyn, we will have plenty of opportunities to swap buses and take photos along the way. After all photo-stops have been performed, we will proceed to the Kulnura General Store for lunch (Cafe inside), via the peaceful Tourist Drive 33 route. Once the lunch and show n' shine stop has concluded, we will then return to Berowra Station, which is where the buses will pull up and the rally will end. Please make sure your bus/buses are registered on full rego, including club rego or UVP.
All buses need to be of a reasonable appearance with all panels in place and no major accident damage. Being a rally which leaves metropolitan Sydney, we recommend a log book ($28 from Service NSW), or an electronic work diary, may save yourself in case a NHVR compliance vehicle or a weighbridge pulls you in for a brief assessment. We will be passing through the Mount White NHVR Weigh Station, which is mandatory for all heavy vehicles to pass through. Please note this is on both sides of the freeway, so when performing the return trip, you must enter and pass through the site as well. More instructions will follow on the day of the event to the drivers.
Fuel is your own responsibility as is any mechanical problems that may arise on the day.
Feel free to provide a donation to the driver of your bus as diesel prices have been above $2.00 a litre recently.
Can I remind attendees that the HCVA and its events are a bully free zone, any trouble or incidents that occur throughout the event will be dealt with appropriately by HCVA Management. We are all here to celebrate history on the buses, so let's ensure we keep it that way, and have a ball!
