The HBCU Data Science Consortium presents its annual Data Science Celebration on April 19 – April 20, 2024 in the Washington DC area. Join us as we cultivate our professional learning community and network around data science education and research at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). We invite both HBCU faculty and student participation to disseminate their research and student engagement projects around data science topics. In addition to faculty and student professional development in data science, the event will also promote funding, partnership and collaboration opportunities. Our new HBCU-Data Science Student Ambassadors are invited to disseminate chapter outcomes and gain ideas as well as strategies for future planning.
Pre-Celebration Opportunity: South Hub Partnership Forum | Alexandria, VA | April 18 - 19
The South Big Data Hub will host an invite-only Partnership Forum co-located at the Sheraton Suites of Old Town Alexandria from April 18 - 19, 2024. Attendees will have the chance to discover new partners and funding opportunities while networking with big data influencers from industry, academia, nonprofits, and government. The event includes three focused sessions — clean energy manufacturing, health equity, and smart cities and the environment — that will all feature the cross-cutting themes of education and workforce, and data sharing and cyberinfrastructure.
