About this Event
HBCU Dance Affair workshops are a great opportunity for both male and female dancers to immerse themselves in the rich and diverse HBCU dance cultures. By participating in our workshops, dancers can acquire valuable skills and knowledge that will significantly increase their chances of being selected for HBCU dance teams. Additionally, participants have the chance to connect with other driven HBCU dancers and showcase their talents through performance, competitions, and media coverage. These workshops aim to promote unity, diversity, and equality within the dance community.
Participants Need to Know
CHECK IN-10:00am July 27, 2024
Attire: All participating dancers will receive a FREE t-shirt for the workshop. This shirt must be worn once given the day of the workshop at ALL times.
Female Dancers--- TOPS: you must wear a SOLID black t-shirt, leotard, tank, or sports bra. (You must wear a SOLID black sports bra underneath the workshop t-shirt when given.)
Male Dancers--- TOPS: you must wear a SOLID black t-shirt, unitard or tank.
Female & Male Dancers--- BOTTOMS: SOLID black leggings/tights/briefs/dance shorts. Make sure these items are SOLID BLACK PLEASE. If you decide to wear briefs/dance shorts, YOU MUST WEAR DANCE TIGHTS UNDERNEATH... No STOCKINGS, they must dance tights ONLY. (STRICTLY ENFORCED)
Shoes--- Any type of Jazz Sneakers/Jazz Shoes/Light Running Tennis Shoes... No high-top sneakers, boots, or heels (per venue)
*** The event will be getting filmed so please dress accordingly and look your best, as we will be choosing certain dancers throughout the event for the highlight video at the end of the event. So when you are being taught, please ensure that you are taking things seriously. ***

COACHES & DIRECTORS are the only people allowed to stay for the entire workshop. The cost is $35 per person. (Only 3 per team) -- You must purchase from the ticket link where it says COACHES & DIRECTORS!!! You must also send an email inquiry with your group/team name via email: [email protected]
SPECTATORS!!!!--- Spectators are welcome to attend this event during the showcase time. The cost is $20 per person. Everyone 6 years and older MUST purchase a ticket. Spectators will come and watch the march-in from each HBCU, 5th quarter, and the highlight of the workshop. Spectators aren't allowed to stay for the entire workshop. Per HBCU Dance Affair INC.
