
About this Event
Join , the Hazel I. Jackson Foundation, and the for a day of community service at ! Help beautify the Jackson Outdoor Classroom for spring and summer. This in-person event is a great opportunity to give back to our community and make a difference. Let's work together to keep our outdoor spaces clean and enjoyable for everyone.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Tasks:
- prune and remove invasive plant species
- cut back woody vegetation like random tree seedlings, etc. around sitting areas
- cleanup trash and debris around the school and parking areas
Extra gloves and trash bags will be provided, just come ready to get your hands dirty! Dress for weather, wear gloves and boots or close toed shoes, and bring your own water bottle.
If you have available please bring a pair of pruners or loppers, rake, shovel, etc. Some extra tools and supplies will be available.
