HAYVN Cares: Volunteer Night at Open Doors Shelter (a Gather & Gab event)

Location: Smilow Life Center, Open Door Shelter, 55 Chestnut Street, Norwalk, CT 06854
(Please enter through the Job Training entrance on the side of the building.)
Join fellow HAYVN members for an evening of service and community impact at . From 5:30–7:00 PM, we’ll volunteer together in their Community Closet, a free store that provides clothing, shoes, and essential household items to low-income individuals and families in our community.
During this 90-minute volunteer shift, members will assist with sorting donations and restocking clothing racks to help keep the space organized, welcoming, and accessible for guests. This is a hands-on, meaningful way to support Open Doors’ mission while connecting with other HAYVN members around a shared purpose.
What to Wear:
Volunteers may wear whatever they’re comfortable in. The space has concrete floors, so comfortable, closed-toe shoes are recommended.

Parking is available in the Smilow Life Center parking lot or on the street. Please enter through the Job Training entrance on the side of the building.
