About Our Artist: When people think West Texas, they think football. They think of flatlands, cotton, and oil fields. But when those things come together, think Haydon Wiginton. This Lubbock, TX-based singer-songwriter is not only making strides on the football field as a wide receiver for the Texas Tech Red Raiders, but he’s also providing the soundtrack for the student section after the game. He’s trading should pads for a guitar and cleats for boots, and often in the same night. His debut EP, “Talk Funny,” released two summers ago, garnered praise from fans everywhere, and Wiginton just released his first full-length album, “West Texas Dirt.”
