Celebrate the season with an 8-mile circular walk from Hay-on-Wye. Our journey begins along the tranquil Dulas Brook, which marks the boundary between England and Wales, meandering through a lovely small valley known as a 'dingle.' We’ll then ascend into a peaceful forest, where the highlight is discovering a locally cherished pine tree—affectionately called the ‘Christmas Tree’—decorated year-round with festive baubles. Bring your own bauble to add a personal touch to this special tree!
The walk continues uphill through the forest and up to Cusop Hill, standing 390 meters above Hay-on-Wye, where stunning views of the Black Mountains await (weather permitting). A scenic steep descent through farmland brings us back to Hay-on-Wye, where we'll finish with the option to join us for a pub lunch at the Old Black Lion.
Join us for a festive and scenic winter walk through the Welsh borderlands!
