An intimate music event at Music Broth with performances from well-established artists, as well as JERRY youth music group, celebrating music made by LGBTQI+ people in Scotland.HAVR make big music. It’s music born of love and of loss, of hope and of heartbreak, the sound of big hearts beating inside bruised bodies. Influenced by post-punk, pristine pop and power trios, Kenny, David and Carrie are having too much fun to stick to a single genre. They’re channelling Bob Mould and Buzzcocks, Teenage Fanclub and Faith No More, Radiohead and REM. Some of their songs are personal and others political; some are abrasive, others anthemic.
Lana Wild is a noisy transgender singer-songwriter from Glasgow via the US. She came out in 2019 after over a decade touring in punk and hardcore bands and a previous solo incarnation, and dropped her debut single "Borderlines" in 2021, gaining her a solid (and steadily growing) LGBTQIA fan base - and the rest is history. She writes songs straight from her heart to yours, with choruses that promise to stick with you for days.
The Marmalade Society are a group of talented musicians brought together by a love of jamming and creating gorgeous and eclectic new sounds.
JERRY are a music youth group supported by LGBT Youth Scotland. This will be their first performance, so please make it down to Music Broth early to welcome them into the music scene! They will be playing a mix of covers and originals. A nicer and more talented group of young musicians you could not meet! These guys make us really hopeful for the future of Scotland's music scene.
Please note that due to this being an all-ages event, it is alcohol free. But there will be plenty of soft drink options available, as well as snacks and pizza.
