Welcome to Waiheke’s Pride Celebration 2026!
Join us as we mark the 40th anniversary of Aotearoa’s Homosexual Law Reform with a joyful Pride Picnic in the Artworks Courtyard* 🌈
Gather your chosen whānau, pack a picnic basket (and your favourite snacks), and come together for an afternoon that celebrates pride, identity, and belonging. This is a space for connection, creativity, and community where all are welcome - full of love, collaboration, and shared joy.
Enjoy music, film, delicious kai, and drinks from the Pinter Bar. Get hands-on at our pride stations where you can decorate or upcycle a favourite T-shirt or water bottle, or create a pride kit for yourself or someone special.
Throughout the afternoon, we’ll be filming short interviews and video moments to create a community Pride video. Step into our filming booth to share your story, reflect on your experiences of sexuality and identity, and help us capture the voices, faces, and spirit of Waiheke’s Pride community.

*In the event of rain, the celebration will move into the theatre.
