Trek from Havant Railway Station to Portsmouth Harbour via Hayling Island on this lovely Summer jaunt.Join DG Outdoor Adventures this Autumn on a fantastic 12.5 mile hike along the Solent coastline from Havant to Portsmouth.
We travel through and past historic monuments and stunning nature reserves whilst enjoying the end of the Summer.
Wear comfortable walking clothes for the weather and bring plenty of food and water for the day.
The walk is pretty flat all the way and gains 11 meters in elevation for the whole trip.
There is a ferry crossing from West Hayling to Portsmouth which you will need to have change for but it is not expensive.
We end up enjoying the views around Portsmouth Harbour and possibly get some light refreshments before going our separate ways from Portsmouth Harbour Station.
If using the train lines from Guildford it is best to purchase a return to Portsmouth via Havant and get out at Havant to start the trip.
The Walk starts at 09:30 am prompt so please be there before. The aim is to be in Portsmouth well before 5pm but this depends on the speed of the group.
