Haunts & Haints: An Oracle Card and Book Release Event

Join us in Elmwood's Chapel on Thursday, September 26th at 6 pm and celebrate the release of two incredible new creative projects by writers Stacey Williams-Ng and Toby Sells.

Stacey Williams-Ng is a Memphis-based author and artist who weaves Southern Gothic tales into not just books, but tarot and oracle (fortune-telling) cards. Come hear her stories of Southern ghosts, cryptids and monsters, and see her amazing paintings of them as well. Stacey is the founder of the indie publishing house La Panthere Studio, and the artist behind The Southern Gothic Oracle and Roses Dust & Ashes. Her latest work, The Rhythm & Soul Tarot, will debut at this event.

Veteran newspaper reporter Toby Sells takes readers on a Southern road trip to find the region’s finest and most mysterious stories with the release of his debut book, "Haint Blues: Strange Tales from the American South.” Available now on Amazon, “Haint Blues” includes stories about the Gray Man of Pawley’s Island, South Carolina; 1800’s-era Bigfoot encounters in Arkansas and Tennessee; the Pascagoula, Mississippi UFO Abduction case; Lady Wonder the psychic horse in Virginia; strange NASCAR mysteries; the Flatwoods Monster from West Virginia; little green men in Kelly, Kentucky; and more Southern ghosts and cryptids than you can shake a stick at. Toby will read from, sign, and sell copies of this work.
