Since its founding in Fall 2022, Shades of Orange has brought theatre into various non-traditional spaces across South Bend, from cat cafés and neighborhood festivals to metaphysical supply stores and community centers. In Summer 2023, we produced a sold-out run of As You Like It: as you like it, an original choose-your-own-adventure adaptation of the classic comedy that brought audience members along with us as we traveled through the Forest of Arden. Now, we're tackling a new and completely different venture. HAUNTED: A MACBETH EXPERIENCE is an immersive take on the Scottish play that will place audience members within Macbeth’s perspective as paranoia, ambition, and tyranny take hold. This abbreviated version of "Macbeth" will bring the iconic story to life in an elevated, narrative haunted house environment.
Running between Oct. 24 and Nov. 2 at The Beacon Resource Center, HAUNTED will be unlike anything South Bend has seen. It will invite our audiences to experience theatre and Shakespeare in a completely new and visceral way.
