Chamber music is central to both Hatty and Antoine’s careers and they have been performing together for eight years. In this programme they will explore Schumann’s writing for violin and piano.

Hatty Haynes is a violinist enjoying a varied musical life performing as a recitalist, chamber musician and orchestral player on both modern and historical instruments.
She has performed extensively throughout the UK at venues and festivals including Wigmore Hall, Barbican, Royal Festival Hall, BBC Proms, IMS Prussia Cove, Salzburg Festival, Berlin Philharmonie, Lake District Summer Music, Buxton and Highgate Festivals. She has played with artists such as Alexander Melnikov, Andrew Marriner, Levon Chilingirian and Milos Karadaglic.
Hatty is a member of the 1st violin section of the London Mozart players, and regularly plays with ensembles including La Serenissima, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Jess Gillam Ensemble, Orchestre Revolutionnaire et Romantique and Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. She is also the violinist in Trio Cordiera, a piano trio studying with Catherine Manson and Christoph Richter on the Chamberstudio scheme.
From 2020-21, Hatty held a fellowship at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where she completed her Masters degree with Distinction in 2020. Prior to this, Hatty gained a 1st Class Bachelor of Music (Honours) from the Royal Academy of Music. Her studies have been generously supported by Help Musicians UK, the Countess of Munster Musical Trust, the Tillett Trust, Thompson Educational Trust and the Craxton Memorial Trust.
During her studies, Hatty was awarded the J&A Beare Bow prize which is awarded annually to the most promising graduating student in the strings department. She was also the recipient of numerous awards including the Waddell Prize, John Waterhouse Prize, Amadeus Prize, Sir John Barbirolli Prize and the Wolfe Wolfinsohn String Quartet Prize.
Hatty has studied with Krysia Osostowicz, Stephanie Gonley, So-Ock Kim, and Nicolette Moonen and Pavlo Beznosiuk (baroque violin). She is incredibly grateful to the Albert Cooper Trust, Lumbs Foundation, Kathleen Trust and the Stephen Bell Trust for their support.
A Naïve Records Exclusive Artist and multi-award winner, Franco-Belgian pianist Antoine Préat is being noticed for his "distinctive voice" and strong musical convictions.
Antoine has been invited to perform in prestigious venues including the Wigmore Hall, St John’s Smith Square, Salle Gaveau, Salle Cortot, Paris Beaux Arts Museum, Frederyk Chopin Insitute, as well as festivals such as the Nohant Chopin Festival, Lisztomanias, Chopin à Bagatelle, Les Nuits du Piano in Paris, IMS Open Chamber Music at Prussia Cove and Encuentro de Santander. He has appeared on BBC Radio 3, France Musique, Scala Radio and RTBF Musiq3
Antoine has performed alongside leading artists and orchestras including Maté Szücs, Miclen LaiPang, Margarita Balanas, Manuel Blanco, Sinfonietta Lausanne, Lesley Hatfield, Robin Ireland, the Centre de Musique de Chambre de Paris, Sainsbury Soloists, Academy Festival Orchestra, University Orchestra of Alicante and London Student Orchestra.

Throughout his career, Antoine has also been fortunate to receive guidance from Philippe Cassard, Cedric Pescia, Thomas Adès, Boris Berman, Robert Levin, Jerome Lowenthal, Richard Goode, Imogen Cooper and Stephen Hough.
After graduating with honours from the Ecole Normale de Paris where he studied with Liudmila Berlinskaia and Guigla Katsarava, Antoine furthered his studies at the Royal Academy of Music and at the Guildhall School of Music under the tutelage of Tatiana Sarkissova and Ronan O'Hora, while studying harpsichord and fortepiano under the guidance of Carole Cerasi.
Antoine was awarded the first prize of the Concours international d’Ile de France and the Los
Angeles Colburn Piano Festival Competition, the honour prize at the New York Début Piano Competition and most recently was a semifinalist at the Clara Haskil Competition 2021.

Passionate about education, Antoine has also been teaching for several years and has been invited several times to teach at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague.
