What: Hatha yoga is a foundational, slower-paced practice focusing on holding physical poses (asanas) with breathwork (pranayama) and meditation, perfect for all levels, especially beginners, to build strength, flexibility, and mindfulness by aligning body and mind. Expect a gentle warm-up, a series of static poses, breath focus, and relaxation, emphasizing steady, intentional movements over fast flows. You’ll hold each
posture for several breaths rather than moving quickly from one to the next. This gives you time to focus on alignment, notice how your body feels, and ease into each position. No prior yoga experience needed.
Why: Hatha improves flexibility, balance, and posture while gently strengthening the body. Mentally, the slower pace creates space to reduce stress and build focus. Many students say they leave class with a sense of calm they carry into the rest of their day.
Investment: $10 per session
Come as you are! No special clothing is needed; dress in loose, comfortable clothing. All equipment will be provided: mats, blocks, bolsters, straps, and blankets, but you are welcome to bring your own if preferred. See less
