Suitable for beginners and advanced practitioners alike, this class encourages you to spend time connecting with your body–mind–breath complex through a range of asanas (or postures) and brings balance to your whole self.A typical class will begin with a few moments of quiet, gradually build in intensity to lead you into a peak pose or challenging sequence, and end with a relaxation practice. There will be variations in the poses to cater to differences in level/ability. Build foundations with clarity, explore your limits safely, and progress with confidence. Regular practice can boost your overall well-being by making you stronger and more flexible in body and mind.(Note: Please bring your own mat + water bottle.)Age limit: 14+Facilitator Info:Anishaa Tavag (she/her) is a Bangalore-based dancer, editor, and teacher of the Alexander Technique and yoga. She began practicing yoga regularly in 2018 when, after a few years of working as a contemporary dancer, she found that the mat allowed her to keep up her training even without access to dance studios. Anishaa soon learnt that yoga not only helped her as a dancer—it also gave her a contained space in which to observe and challenge herself as a person. In conjunction with the Alexander Technique, yoga has given her practical tools to deal with the (literal) aches and joys of daily life. As a facilitator, Anishaa enjoys creating conditions for participants to observe and explore their patterns while they pick up new skills.
