A 7 mile walk along the coast and through hilly but pretty countryside, via Hastings old town (shingle beach) and Fairlight Glen (naturist beach). The path down to Fairlight Glen is fairly steep, and is sometimes officially closed if there has been recent erosion. By train, best is a single for the 8:45 from Charing Cross (stops at 8:54 at London Bridge), direct to Hastings arriving at 10:39, and for the return it is recommended to get a single for the 18:35 from Three Oaks to St Pancras changing at Ashford - this should give plenty of time, and if we reach Three Oaks too early the time in hand can be spent in the pub there. If driving park at Hastings station and at the end get a single from Three Oaks back to there (trains go hourly), or park in Three Oaks (the station itself has no car park) before the walk and get the 10:01 to Hastings. This is walk 25 from Wild Swimming Walks, but reversed due to train and tide time considerations. All welcome as ever.
