Following the release of her hilarious & evocative debut album ‘Means More To Me Than It Does To You’, Melbourne’s self-coined ‘Aussie Sharehouse Pop’ singer-songwriter Hassall has announced a national tour in celebration of the record.
The run of shows will see the highly regarded singer-songwriter bring her captivating, cheeky & extremely authentic live show to venues across the country this September, playing with the full band for the first time in Adelaide, Sydney, and Brisbane, before bringing it home to Melbourne & hometown Geelong.
“I’m so unbelievably grateful that this album has been received so well, and I’m wicked excited to play every song off of it for all old and new interstate friends!”
Hassall is excited to be joined by handpicked special guests on each leg of the tour, which will be announced soon.
With a combination of addictive countrysoulsex-esque vocals, taboo topics & lyrics relatable in the way you don’t want to admit, plus a killer live energy, Hassall’s upcoming tour promises to have audiences laughing, crying, and talking for the car ride home.
HASSALL // Hassall released her debut album 'Means More To Me Than It Does To You' July of 2025, recorded with Dave Jenkins & William Conway at Golden Retriever Studios. Following on from a string of successful single releases in prior months, Hassall presents a concise and evocative collection of music here. Hassall explains of the album’s themes, “The album deals with some recurring themes - these include procrastination, soft neuroticism, the downfalls of rising technology, and of course, love. Also discussed in less detail are: issues around intimacy, drinking too much coffee, 2000s teen dramas, vaping, and virtue signalling. Things that the average twenty something within a 25km radius of any major city is well-versed in.
Central to Hassall’s charm is her natural ability to connect with a live audience. She has made waves throughout the Melbourne indie scene for a few years now; supporting the likes of Killing Heidi (support for recent Australian tour) Crash Test Dummies (CAN), The Scratch (IRE), MIa Wray, The Beautiful Girls, DICE, Pacific Avenue, Majak Door, Adam Newling, You Am I, Jacob Fitzgerald and Little Quirks; and playing festivals such as Darker Days Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival, Queenscliff Music Festival, Homegrown Festival, By The Pier and White Night Geelong. On top of that, Hassall has seen significant radio support from triple J, triple J Unearthed, SYN, Inner FM, 2SER, 3MDR, 4ZZZ, & PBS, and praise from local tastemakers such as Music Feeds, Rolling Stone, Forte Magazine and more.
“I attend your gigs because your songs tell me more about you than you ever will” - her mother, to her.
