Harvey Paul Berman ObituaryHarvey Paul Berman, 79, of Pensacola, FL, passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 30, 2024. Harvey was preceded in death by his father Abe, mother Rose, and brother Martin. He is survived by his daughter Heather, brother Irwin, nephew Eric, niece Jennifer, sister-in-law Janice, and a host of family and best friends. He is the proud grandfather of Elijah Berman.
Harvey didn't know a stranger. If you knew him, you were lucky to be so blessed. He lived his life as an honest man and prided himself on always doing the right thing. You may know him from the Airforce, Georgia Tech, Whirlpool, Cycle Sport Center, TSA, or your favorite music venue. He's the harp man, bourbon connoisseur, motorcycle enthusiast, engineer, and Mr. Fix It. His motto was, he can fix it so no one else can. He was probably your best friend, and he probably taught you something new. I'm sure if you knew Harvey, you have a story. He had a knack for helping others, and spreading joy wherever he went. He was the light in the room, always with a harmonica in his pocket. Harvey loved to record himself playing the harmonica/ukulele and singing. The last three songs he recorded the day before he passed were Unchain My Heart, Seven Spanish Angels, and Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen.
Don't sing the blues for Harvey. Please rejoice in the memories and join us for a Celebration of Life at Paradise Bar & Grill in Pensacola Beach on Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 11am-2pm.
