About this Event
Join us for Rick’s Place’s annual Harvest Festival, a fun-filled fall festival designed for military families to celebrate the season outdoors! This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever, offering a variety of exciting activities for all ages, including Mutton Busting, where young cowboys and cowgirls can put their rodeo skills to the test. Families can also enjoy hay rides, pumpkin launching, rock climbing, horseback riding, and much more! Special guest appearances will include the Cumberland County Library for arts and crafts and the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra with their signature instrument petting zoo, where you can interact with traditional orchestra instruments.
We are excited to announce that this year's Harvest Festival will also feature the grand ribbon-cutting of our brand-new playground! Be among the first to explore this exciting addition to Rick’s Place, built to bring joy and lasting memories to children and families for years to come.
For those with a competitive spirit, we’ll host a Sweet Treat eating contest and Treasure in a Haystack for kids 6 and under. Food trucks will be on-site, or you can bring your meal to enjoy between activities. Every participant will receive a free meal, paid for my Rick’s Place. This event is free to attend, with a $10 entry fee to compete in the Mutton Busting competition, where participants have the chance to win a cash prize for hanging on the longest!
