Mackenzie Roark is a Richmond-based singer-songwriter whose solo performances weave together heartfelt storytelling and unique covers from years’ past, all delivered with an undeniable Americana twang. Drawing inspiration from classic country legends like Townes Van Zandt and Loretta Lynn, as well as the empowering energy of Sheryl Crow and Stevie Nicks, Mackenzie’s songs are a poignant reflection on life’s highs and lows. Her 2022 debut album, Rollin’ High, Feelin’ Low (Vocal Rest Records), showcases her seamless blend of 70s folk, classic rock, and country traditions, delivered with a fresh, introspective edge. Having performed at major festivals like Floydfest and Bristol Rhythm and Roots with her electrifying band, the Hotpants, she continues to forge her path as an artist, delivering both intimate solo performances and full band shows at venues throughout the region.
Harry's LIVE brings the best of live, local talent to the intimate, sophisticated atmosphere of the Harry’s Library, a secluded and intimate room on the second floor of the Hofheimer Building. For music lovers, this exclusive performance series offers a unique setting to experience the authentic energy of live music in a space that is as much about connection and creativity as it is about atmosphere. Each live performance is designed to celebrate local musicians from soulful acoustic sets to electrifying bands and genre-blending performances.
