Clay Schools is a solo artist known for blending acoustic, folk, and country music with a raw, emotive vocal style. His sound is a unique mix of original songs and covers, including tracks like Tyler Childers' "Rock Salt & Nails" and Kid Cudi's "Pursuit of Happiness." Accompanied by stand-up bass and mandolin, Clay creates a rich, dynamic live experience. Originally from Montpelier, VA, Clay was raised on country and bluegrass music but draws influence from a wide range of genres, including 90s grunge, indie rock, and contemporary pop. After performing as the frontman for the band Tin4 in North Carolina and Virginia, Clay transitioned to a solo career, where he connects with diverse audiences through heartfelt songwriting and engaging performances.
Harry's LIVE brings the best of live, local talent to the intimate, sophisticated atmosphere of the Harry’s Library, a secluded and intimate room on the second floor of the Hofheimer Building. For music lovers, this exclusive performance series offers a unique setting to experience the authentic energy of live music in a space that is as much about connection and creativity as it is about atmosphere. Each live performance is designed to celebrate local musicians from soulful acoustic sets to electrifying bands and genre-blending performances.
