Join us at Harriton House for fun fall-themed afternoon frolics in the farm yard. We'll read stories, visit with the chickens, get to know Mow and the goats, make tiny scarecrows, and end the "season" with a fun Halloween scavenger hunt. Admission free-will donation.Best for young children (ages 2 - 7), the activities will last about 45 minutes, but you're always welcome to arrive early or stay longer and play on our grounds.
We'll meet on Wednesdays, October 16, 23, & 30th, near the playhouse next to the barn (behind the Administration Building). Children must be accompanied by an adult
Enter at 500 Harriton Road, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010, with free parking in our lot.
October 16 - Chicken Big, Chicken Little - meet some members of the Harriton flock and learn about what makes each of them special from their feathery feet to the size and color of their eggs.
October 23- Falling Leaves - gather leaves and learn how and why they change colors in the fall.
October 30 - Halloween Hijinks - wear a costume for our pumpkin scavenger hunt around Harriton. Participants will receive a special treat (not candy or food).
Please note that activities are scheduled to take place outdoors. In the event of rain, we will move the program inside to the classroom in the Administration Building. If we move indoors, the activities will change!
