About this Event
🔥 A Revolutionary Reimagining of a Freedom Fighter’s First Love
Part hip-hop concert. Part historical fever dream. 100% unforgettable.
Harriet Tubman: Love Slave is a rap-poetic musical that reimagines the early years of Harriet Tubman — not as the myth, but as the woman in love.
Through rhythm, rhyme, and rebellion, we watch Harriet navigate freedom, faith, and the ghost of her first marriage in a hauntingly modern, genre-blending concert experience.
Created and directed by Terrell M. Green (MSDMM) — a Los Angeles-based digital strategist and theatre producer whose work fuses Black history, hip-hop, and social impact — this staged reading concert previews the upcoming January 2026 full production at Long Beach Playhouse.
