Jacoby Cochran is the Senior Podcast Host for the award-winning City Cast Chicago. He has used his MA in Communication from Syracuse University to translate his passion for connecting people into a lucrative career designing podcasts and newsletters to promote Chicago events, businesses, and creative partnerships. A celebrated storyteller and national champion public speaker, Jacoby received the 2024 Uplifting Voices Award at the 29th Annual Chicago Community Media Awards.

Prez, J Lone, and Kilmatic make up the backbone of In the Beat of the Night. Starting in 2006 as a hip-hop show on UNCG’s own WUAG, ITBOTN has grown from Greensboro’s longest-running radio show into a live platform to support local musicians and share their stories. Using their skills as both DJs and master interviewers, the ITBOTN crew commits to showcasing local talent – and keeping us entertained along the way.
