EVENTS: Youth Singles – 14 Men’s Doubles: A & B Women’s Doubles A & B Mixed A & B
NOTE: Youth must not be older than 14 on August 2nd to play in the singles division. Youth younger than 19 on August 3rd and older than 14 will play doubles only but be assessed the youth $13 fee. Youth singles may be further divided depending on age and how many sign-ups. Youth playing doubles may have an adult as their partner. Suggested tennis rating guidelines for doubles divisions are the following: A (3.5+) and B (3.5-). You may play one doubles event and also one mixed doubles event, but in order to accommodate scheduling without conflicts, you will have limited break time for the two-day tournament. Divisions may be scratched or combined
with another division due to insufficient entries. Tennis balls will be provided.
FORMAT: Divisions with 6 or more teams will play a regular tournament with first round losers playing
a consolation tournament to conclusion. Divisions with less than 6 teams will utilize a round
robin format. USTA rules will govern play. You may play up to 3 matches per day for each
tournament entered. Tournaments with 6 or more entries will play a 10-point 3rd set tiebreaker
if sets are split. Five and four total team entries will be round robin format with 10-game pro
sets (tiebreaker at 9-9). Three team entries will be round robin format with a 3rd set if split.

STARTING / PLAYING TIMES:
Play may begin for youth divisions on Friday @ 12:00 PM and adult mixed divisions Friday
@ 6:00 PM. Players must be available Saturday & Sunday 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Please report
to matches 15 minutes prior to your starting time. Starting times may be obtained by calling
Harper Creek Optimist Club (269-979-1561 or 269-979-4108) or Minges Creek Athletic Club
(269-979-1111) after 1:00 PM Thursday – plus harpercreekoptimistclub.com
AWARDS: The first 60 paid entrants will receive a commemorative T-shirt. Youth will receive trophies
for the first three places and the four finalists in the adult divisions will receive gift certificates.
Proceeds (if any) from the event will support the youth of our local community.
