About this Event
The image of Harold Lloyd hanging from a clock remains one of the most enduring images of the silent era -- and this image is from the film SAFETY LAST, which was released on April 1, 1923.
SAFETY LAST is the story of a young man working to find career and financial success in the big city, so he can marry his love, played by Mildred Davis who married Lloyd just weeks before the release of SAFETY LAST.
For this celebration, we will be hosting a Harold Lloyd lookalike contest -- so, people of all ages and genders are welcome to come in their best hat and specs. Winner will receive a Silents, Please! STL pack (shirt, sticker, button). Get creative!!
Happy 100 SAFETY LAST!! Let's party!
This event is FREE (donations are welcome to help support and sustain programming)
