Harlem Hayfield-For some, finding the roots that truly ground us is a lifelong journey. For Harlem Hayfield, a six-piece music group based in Decatur, Illinois, that journey begins and ends with embracing their true identities: musicians, collaborators, and, perhaps most importantly, friends. Hailing from a sparsely populated factory town filled with more memories than people, the band blends eclectic music influences with personal life lessons, resulting in a groove-centric genre they describe as "rustbelt soul.” Their sound encompasses elements of southern rock, funk-infused abandon reminiscent of the 70s, and harmonies that also evoke a throwback nostalgia while maintaining a modern edge.
Liv Joy-
Singer-songwriter and entertainer Liv Joy’s powerhouse vocals infuses a strong rock sound with soulful undertones that transports you to a place of inspiration and movement. Her music influences include Amy Winehouse, Adele, Etta James, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Miley Cyrus.
Born and raised in a midwest small town, she found her voice as a young child when she got her first karaoke machine from her nana. Her passion for entertaining and singing kept growing over the years so she decided to get her bachelor’s degree in Music at a private performing arts college, McNally Smith College of Music.
You can see her love for music when she’s on stage interacting with the audience. So much energy, not enough stage. Liv Joy is always making sure everyone is having a fun time and moving on that dance floor! She has been touring around the country with multiple bands ever since she graduated school back in 2017. Joe incorporates blues and country into his Americana style, creating a sound reminiscent of Jim Croce, Big Bill Broonzy and John Prine. You may also know Joe from his work with such bands as Kilborn Alley Blues Band, William Marsala and The Black Eyed Lillies.
