We’re selecting 3 brave contestants to go head-to-head with one of Kent’s signature recipes. Each contestant will put their own twist on the dish, then face the ultimate test: Kent himself will decide who out-cooked the cowboy!
👉 Want your shot at culinary glory?
Create a video that is 1 minute or less explaining to Kent and Shannon why you should be considered as a contestant. Tell them the role their cooking has played in your life, show them what you’ve got. If you’re a super fan, impress them with your knowledge of Kents cowboy style, persona and skills or even the names of all the dogs. If you’re ready to bring the heat then throwdown a challenge. Get your family involved. It’s your video so make it personal to you but tell Kent why he and Shan should consider you.
Three fans will be chosen from those submissions and invited to the competition. Remember, if chosen, you’ll receive two general admission tickets to the Harker Heights Food, Wine, and Brew Fest and have to be at the event by 1pm on Saturday, October 18th, 2025 in Harker Heights, Texas.
There will be another opportunity to compete. If you submitted a video but were not chosen, and, on the day of the competition, if you bought an admission ticket, check in with us on time at the Food, Wine, and Brew Fest letting us know you’re there, we will be doing a wildcard draw for at least one more fan to compete.
Submissions open Tuesday September 2nd! The deadline for submissions is September 26th, 2025, and winners will be announced October 3rd, 2025. Judging Criteria will be based on Presentation, Personality, Creativity, Taste & Cowboy Spirit
