Join us for a hands-on weaving workshop where you’ll learn to create a traditional konae – a two-corner pop-up basket. These baskets are both practical and beautiful, and still valued today as taonga.
During this workshop you will:
- Learn how to prepare and work with harakeke
- Be guided step by step through the weaving process
- Create your own completed konae to take home
- Gain knowledge of tikanga and practice around weaving
