A tender and beautiful love story, Brokeback Mountain won Lee the Best Director Oscar, thanks to the stunning visual language of the film and his work with Heath Ledger, Jake Gyllenhaal and Michaelle Williams – all of whom were Oscar-nominated for their incredible performances.
