Business relationship building is key to a successful career, whether running a side hustle, building a career, forming a team for a startup, or managing a small business. The ability to quickly make connections and turn those connections into future working relationships is a skill that takes practice. Join us with our special guests, Jamie Bestwick, and Kerry Bestwick, who will walk us through the importance of business relationships and how to practice building better connections.
A little bit about our speaker series guests...Jaime Bestwick, founder of Rothrock Coffee
Jamie Bestwick is the founder of Rothrock Coffee, a husband, a father, a legendary professional BMX rider, and an all-around passionate person.
One of those passions is the marriage between coffee and community. Opening its doors in 2016, Rothrock Coffee is a coffee shop and coffee roaster in State College, Pennsylvania. Jamie and his staff are local bike enthusiasts! The name Rothrock comes from a local state forest (Rothrock State Forest) in State College where they can ride bikes, hike, camp, and be adventurous. Rothrock has a passion for producing the best coffee possible and for providing a place where people can gather with old friends and make new ones.
Kerry Bestwick, founder of PYP Studio
Kerry Bestwick is the founder of PYP Studio, a wife, a mother, a multi-disciplined teacher and practitioner of mind and body wellness, and an equally passionate person.
She LOVES to Inspire, lead and challenge each community guest at PYP to BE the best version of themselves. Teaching group experiences allow her to bring her passion for movement and the human mind and ignite possibility in every person present! Kerry spends considerable time working with Penn State student-athletes as a mind-body coach.
Together they form an absolute powerhouse couple capable of accomplishing just about anything they set their minds (and bodies) to.
The Happy Valley LaunchBox powered by PNC Bank Speaker Series features experts and experienced entrepreneurs willing to share tips, tools, and processes with the local entrepreneurial community, university students, faculty, and staff. This fall, our series is designed to provide actionable advice that helps entrepreneurs and student-athletes avoid common mistakes and overcome challenges.
Speaker events are free and open to the public. Lunch is provided, for as long as it lasts.
