Seeing friends or finally finishing that book? Now you don't have to choose.The Happy Sunday Book Club was born out of the burning desire to find more time to read while not sacrificing time to see friends.
It's a place and time for us to get together and read whatever we want in the company of like-minded literati. Unlike other book clubs, we're not all reading the same the book, but rather bringing whatever title(s) we're currently working on/feel bad about neglecting.
We talk about what we're reading, why we're reading it, our relationship to reading - this is the safe space to let your aspirational self shine. Because we not only read for ourselves, but for the people we hope to become by reading at all.
Bring a book, or several.
Bring friends too!
Because finding the time to read shouldn't get in the way of friendship.
This is open to anyone who loves reading as much as they love people. No one will be turned away for genre; every reader has a home here.

The Semi-Tropic serves craft beer & European-inspired small plates in a bohemian, industrial-chic watering hole. With couches aplenty and comfy chairs galore, this is the ideal spot for curling up with a book and/or snuggling with your friends. Graciously giving us a home base, The Semi-Tropic deserves a stop-by whether you're coming by for book club or happy hour.

Although expressed in many different ways, 's main source of joy comes down to one thing really: bringing people together over something she's deeply passionate about. Whether it's promoting health and wellness with her nature therapy business Wellspring Nature, giving people something to dance about with her silent disco side hustle So Good Silent Disco, or convincing her friends to read silently in public together with the Happy Sunday Book Club, Hana Lee is at her happiest making happy things happen.
