Happy Lunar New Year! (Crafts for Kids of All Ages) 🐴🐴🐴
Lunar New Year -- celebrated throughout Asia and by people of Asian descent all around the world! -- begins this year on February 17th. 2026 is the Year of the Horse! According to the Chinese zodiac, people born during the Year of the Horse are energetic, popular, and independent.
In this kit, you will receive:
- Adorable mini plushie (designs vary and will be randomly selected)
- Sticky lion's head
- Dragon paper puppet craft
- Lunar New Year stickers
- Magic scratch dragon
- Lunar New Year activity book
- Color by symbol, lantern coloring, zodiac animals coloring, background info, activity sheets, and more!
Crafts can be picked up on THURSDAY, February 12th from 2 PM to 6 PM. Curbside is available.
Need to pick up later? We will hold your crafts from Thursday evening until Friday at 5 pm (no later) AS LONG AS YOU CONTACT US IN ADVANCE.
Reminder: All patrons are required to comply with the library's policy against bullying, harassment and lewd behavior. Patrons who engage in abusive behavior will forfeit, at least temporarily, their right to request craft kits. Please remember to be kind.
