About the 1882 Foundation
The 1882 Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in DC’s Chinatown that seeks to broaden public awareness of the history and continuing significance of the 1882 Chinese Exclusion Act. They do this work through partnerships and collaborations to bring together thought-leadership, community storytelling, preserving sites of significance, and strengthening education about the Chinese American and greater Asian American experience.
