About the Programme

Join our vibrant community of active seniors and embark on a journey to enhance your vitality and well-being through engaging exercise sessions. Through the sessions, you will be introduced to the Healthy Ageing Promotion Programme for You (HAPPY) programme, designed to promote healthy living and combat physical, cognitive, and social frailty. 

And the best part? No fancy equipment needed! Just slip on your favourite exercise shoes, and you're all set to join the fun.

What's in store for you: 
•    6 sessions of high-energy fun and fitness progressive workouts that evolve with each session, keeping you challenged and motivated;
•    A supportive community of like-minded seniors cheering you on every step of the way 

The sessions are on: 17 July, 31 July, 7 August, 14 August, 28 August, 4 September. Sign up once and commit for 6 sessions.

But before you jump in, here's what you need to know: 

To join, you must be: a) Mobile and ready to move b) Medically fit to engage in physical exercises and excitement 

Please note, participation is not suitable if you have: 
•    Systolic Blood Pressure ≥ 180 mmHg 
•    Diastolic Blood Pressure ≥ 100 mmHg 
•    Resting Pulse ≥ 100/min 
•    Experienced a heart attack within the last month 
•    Frequent chest pain during activity 
•    Palpitations or shortness of breath at rest

About the trainer:

Claudia Yuen has been an active RSVP Singapore volunteer since 2018 and achieved her HAPPY Instructor certification in 2019. She has been volunteering in several Active Ageing Centres (AAC) through engaging exercise sessions and finds joy in being able to play a part in promoting healthy aging!

RSVP Singapore The Organisation of Senior Volunteers is an Institution of Public Character and the National Centre of Excellence for Senior Volunteerism under the patronage of President Tharman Shanmugaratnam.

Please note the following:

•    All participants are required to register for a ticket. Each ticket admits 1 person only. Please present your ticket when you enter the library and the event venue.

•    Arrive 10 mins before the session commences. Seats of late attendees may be given to those in the waitlist.

•    NLB reserves the right to deny entry to participants who do not abide by the ground rules.

•    Please note that photos and/or videos of this programme and its participants may be taken. 

•    All children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
