At Driven Jiu-Jitsu, we recognize that many in our community face challenges, especially during the holidays. The day before Thanksgiving, we’re hosting a free, one-hour community seminar open to everyone—no membership or Jiu-Jitsu experience needed! It’s a donation-based event, with all proceeds going to support families in need. Our goal is to give back and serve the community—and we invite you to join us in making a difference.Here are common food donations suitable for a Thanksgiving charity drive:
1. Canned Goods:
• Canned vegetables (corn, green beans, yams, etc.)
• Canned fruits (peaches, pears, etc.)
• Canned cranberry sauce
• Canned soups and broths (chicken or vegetable stock)
• Canned pumpkin or pie fillings
2. Dry Goods:
• Boxed stuffing mix
• Instant mashed potatoes
• Rice or pasta
• Dried beans or lentils
• Baking mixes (cornbread, cake mix, etc.)
3. Packaged Foods:
• Boxed macaroni and cheese
• Gravy packets or jars
• Jello or pudding mix
• Non-perishable desserts (cookies, cake, pie crusts)
4. Proteins:
• Canned tuna, chicken, or ham
• Peanut butter
5. Beverages:
• Juice boxes or shelf-stable juices
• Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate mixes
6. Other Essentials:
• Cooking oil or spray
• Spices (e.g., cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper)
• Sugar, flour, or baking essentials
• Condiments (salt, pepper, sauce packets)
Make sure all donations are non-perishable and in unopened, undamaged packages
