Join FLATFOOT DANCE COMPANY for two limited edition bespoke performances created especially for the KZNSA Gallery in Glenwood. Titled HAPPENSTANCE, this performance is an evocative series of meetings and partings that trace contemporary relationships.
“Happenstance” is a synonym for coincidence, accident, a chance event or encounter … but usually producing positive results. Journey with the FLATFOOT dancers as they confront, meet and encounter one another in a display of beautiful soulful dance that resonates all that
is possible when ‘happenstance’ becomes a powerful force for our individual and collective growth.
FLATFOOT is also delighted, for this season, to welcome Nairobi based dancer Maulid Owino from Kenya’s DANCE INTO SPACE. FLATFOOT has a long partnership with DIS and are delighted to be deepening their encounters by hosting Owino over February 2025. This ‘happenstance” is another layered meeting.
HAPPENSTANCE is created in a collaboration between Lliane Loots, Maulid Owino and the
FLATFOOT dancers; Sifiso Khumalo, Jabu Siphika, Zinhle Nzama, Siseko Duba, Sbonga Ndlovu, and Ndumiso ‘Digga’ Dube.
The KZNSA Gallery and café will be open from 17h15
- No door sales - tickets MUST be pre-booked and paid for in advance.
- Each performance has a limit of x100 audience members only – book soon to avoid disappointment!
HOW TO BOOK:

2. Indicate your full name and a preferred show date.
3. Number of tickets required.
4. Clare will then confirm – within 24hrs - via email
5. Payment details will be sent and an EFT must be made within 24hrs (confirmation will be sent that your tickets are booked)
In case of rain, we will postpone, and your tickets will be valid for a reconfigured show.
