This is still an early time to plant perennials outside (unless they are bare root products or have been wintered outside), so purchasing during this sale means some extra care is needed to harden off the perennials coming from warm greenhouses before planting them outside. They can be susceptible to freezing and lose new growth. Many customers take the plants outside on warm days and into a garage or inside at night for a few weeks until planting is safe. If you do plant and freezing temps are predicted, plants can be covered for extra protection. We are planning on this being an early spring, but care is still needed to protect any investments.
