The Hanover Homebrew Competition just got BIGGER!We added a Sauce Competition called Sauce Boss and took the Homebrew Competition to another level!
This is One Event and Two Battles!
The Best Beer. The Best Sauce.
You will get to sample all the same beers and sauces the contestants have in for judging and decide for yourself which is the best. The winner receives a People's Choice Champion Award. To vote for your favorite, receive voting tickets for a $1 donation each. Get as many as you want, this is for charity! Place your votes in the voting container at the homebrewer and sauce tents of your choice! Vote as many times as you want for as many different beers and sauces as you want. All money collected for voting will be donated to Olivia's House: A Grief and Loss Center for Children.
Tommy John's Tavern will have Tater Tots and Chips available for free to dip in the sauces and will also have naked wings for purchase so you can toss them in your favorite sauce!
The winning two beers will move on to brew their beer at either Aldus Brewing Company or Something Wicked Brewing Company and then each of the beers will be on tap at that breweries pub for a month. Whoever sells the most pints in this BATTLE ROYAL becomes the GRAND CHAMPION. So after this event you'll get to come back downtown in Hanover to try them again!
The winning sauce will be awarded SAUCE BOSS and have their sauce featured for a month on the Special Menu at Tommy John's Tavern (formally The Hotel) and will also be available at The Circle in Hanover.
This event is FREE to attend. We do ask that you plan to donate for voting tickets.
You MUST have a valid, government issued Photo ID and be 21 or over to receive a wristband to sample beer. You will not be able to sample beer without the wristband.
