In Japan, it is traditional practice to use an inka - more commonly called a hanko - instead of a signature for formalising important documents. A Hanko seal is typically made of stone, wood or ivory and serves as proof or certification when pressed on a vessel, utensil, painting, document or letter.
In this workshop, you'll get the chance to design and carve your own Hanko seals! With guidance from an expert, you'll learn all the tips, tricks and techniques to make unique items that can literally leave a mark on the world.
