ABOUT THE HOST

Hi, I’m Kereagh (it’s a tricky one to pronounce—I get it!), also known as The Guru Kid.I’m an abstract artist and a project manager in brand design, with over a decade of experience helping people connect to creativity in meaningful ways. These days, I host art-based experiences at Oil, Shrewsbury, and have also run sessions for teams at companies like Kellogg’s, Grayce, and Amazon UK.But honestly, titles and big names aren’t really the point. What matters most to me is creating a space where you can pause, breathe, and reconnect with a part of yourself that often gets lost—the playful, curious, intuitive side. I call it your inner child energy. It’s where the magic lives.Painting has been my own form of healing—something that helps calm my nervous system, restore my energy, and remind me that it’s okay to just be. I’m completely obsessed with colour, texture, and the freedom that comes from letting go of the need to do things “right.”I also bring mindfulness and energy work into the sessions—I’m a qualified Reiki practitioner—and I’ve found that this gentle approach really opens people up creatively, even (especially!) if they’ve never painted before.If you’re feeling burned out, creatively blocked, or just want to try something new, I’d love to welcome you into a space that’s about expression, not perfection. Come paint with me. Let’s make a bit of a mess, breathe a little deeper, and maybe even surprise ourselves.You don’t have to be “an artist.” You just have to show up.
