Ellen Faulkner and Bill Ross are hosting a 6 week - beginner ASL class starting on May 7th, 2024 - June 11th, 2024. This class will be hosted every Tuesday starting at 6pm-7:15pm where they will teach you the basics in ASL and introduce you to the Deaf culture! You do NOT want to miss this class!Ellen Faulkner is a Deaf business woman who is also the Treasurer and Founding Member of GMCAD (Greater Marion County Association of the Deaf). She does amazing work and support for the Deaf community.
Bill Ross has been an interpreter his whole life as a CODA (Child of Deaf Adult(s)). He has been a professional interpreter with credentials for over 40+ years. He has also co-written the book, "So You Want to be an Interpreter? 5th edition" with Janice Humphrey and others.
Both have experience teaching ASL classes and have a vast knowledge of communication and stories. Their heart is for the Deaf culture and its' language.
