Hands-on Signal Coordination Timing Training
Join us for an interactive, in-person session where you'll dive into the essentials of signal coordination and timing techniques. Perfect for all-levels of traffic engineers, this training offers an unparalleled opportunity to rapidly build practical signal-timing expertise. Using a real corridor in Walnut Creek, you will learn how existing coordination operates and how to evaluate its performance using both floating-car runs and automated vehicle trajectory data. You will gain step-by-step experience developing new timing plans, implementing them in the field, validating the results, and conducting before-and-after performance assessments using the state-of-the-art WaySync tool. You will learn how to interpret controller timing sheets, identify the key parameters, transfer these parameters to and from WaySync, and program controllers with newly optimized plans. You will also have the opportunity to explore WaySync’s cutting-edge optimization and performance-evaluation capabilities.
