🧪 Hands-On Life Science Lab: Session 1 (6 Weeks)This 6-week homeschool science class introduces students in grades K–6 to core life science concepts through hands-on experiments, observation, and creative projects. Using and adapting Hands-On Life Science Activities for Grades K–6, students will explore how living things grow, change, and interact with their environment.
Each week functions like a small-group science lab, where students learn by doing—planting, testing, building models, and recording observations—rather than completing worksheets. Activities are designed to be accessible for younger students while offering deeper thinking and extension for older students, making mixed ages a strength rather than a challenge.
Session 1 focuses on:
What makes something living
Plants and growth
Basic life processes
Simple experiments and observation skills
Introduction to scientific tools and lab routines
All materials are provided, and students will have weekly hands-on experiments
