About this Class: It’s time to get your hands messy! In our hands-on format, our Scuola Chef will prepare the signature dish for you to taste in class. You’ll then dive right in to making the recipe yourself from scratch. Take your culinary creation with you at the end of class and enjoy your own hard work at home!
About this Dish: This bright green and flavorful Pesto is originally from Genoa, Italy. Made from only basil, pine nuts, olive oil, and cheese, Pesto alla Genovese gets its name from the word pestare, meaning to pound or crush, as the traditional method uses a mortar and pestle to mix the sauce.
In this Class You Will:
- Learn about the traditions and culture of Pesto alla Genovese
- Observe as our Scuola Chef teaches the group how to make Pesto alla Genovese
- Make your own Pesto alla Genovese from scratch by hand
- Enjoy a menu featuring an antipasto, welcome Prosecco, and Pesto alla Genovese prepared by our Chef alongside a wine pairing
Please Note:
This class will take place in our La Scuola located on the 2nd floor.
- One ticket purchase is valid for one guest
- Seating is first-come, first-served
- Class duration is approximate and may vary by 10-15 minutes
- All guests planning to consume alcohol must be able to produce a valid government-issued identification to prove they are 21 or older. Non-alcoholic beverages are available.
- Classes are also suitable for children 8+ who are passionate about Italian cuisine. Under 15 must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
- Please notify us 48 hours in advance if you have any dietary restrictions. If we are not notified ahead of time of any special needs, we may not be able to accommodate them.
