Curious about making pottery on the wheel? Join professional ceramic artist Julie Linville of Wren Pottery for a fun and welcoming introduction to wheel throwing.
In this two-hour hands-on workshop, each student will work at their own electric pottery wheel while learning foundational techniques including wedging, centering clay, creating cylinders, and forming simple bowls. These core skills provide the foundation for making functional pottery such as mugs, bowls, and vases.
This class is designed for beginners and focuses on exploration, learning, and enjoying the process. Students will receive both group and individualized instruction in a supportive environment.
Please note: work created during this class will not be fired or kept. This workshop is intended as a low-pressure opportunity to experience wheel throwing, build confidence, and learn the fundamentals before moving on to more advanced pottery classes.
