About this Event
Join Us for a Day of Cooking for a Cause
Join the Alzheimer’s Association Aloha Chapter, Big Island Coffee Roasters, and Bao + Dim in the fight to end Alzheimer’s! We’re excited to participate in The Longest Day to raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association. The Longest Day, the summer solstice, is the day with the most light, and we’re calling on everyone to use this light to fight Alzheimer’s by supporting care, research, and awareness.
We’re hosting a special event for this important cause. Here’s what your ticket includes:
🍴 Hands-On Cooking Workshop: Learn to make a special edition menu featuring purple sweet potato-enhanced Cantonese dishes, Hope Dumplings, and Memory Buns, all infused with the Alzheimer’s Association’s signature color: Purple!
💜 Community Impact: A portion of the proceeds from every ticket sale will directly support the Alzheimer’s Association, helping over 6 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s and more than 11 million caregivers.
🌟 Special Guest Appearance: Nic Los Banos, Hawai'i Island Regional Coordinator for the Alzheimer's Association Aloha Chapter, will share insights on how diet impacts brain health.
🌞 Support and Solidarity: Be part of a community event filled with delicious food, engaging activities, and a shared mission to end Alzheimer’s.
